Discover New Worlds to Explore
As a total lunar eclipse rises over Australia on March 3rd, 2026, audiences will embark on a cinematic concert journey — Sea to Space — a multi-sensory experience that begins in Earth’s oceans and ascends to the outer reaches of our solar system.
This immersive evening bridges the known and the unknown, offering a gateway from our blue planet to the ocean worlds of distant moons. Through evocative orchestral storytelling and stunning sea-to-space visuals, the performance unfolds as a voyage through sound and science, culminating in the world premiere of THE MOONS SYMPHONY.

Carol's Doubts Before LUNAR
Carol did not simply learn about Io.
Before beginning LUNAR, Carol wondered whether she would even be able to complete the first module. She worried she wasn't 'scientific enough' and questioned whether she belonged in a course like this.
Six weeks later, she found herself reflecting on the volcanic moon Io, creating original work, and describing the experience as unlike anything she had encountered before.
WATCH CAROL'S STORY
"CAROL THOUGHT LUNAR MIGHT BE BEYOND HER.
SHE WAS WRONG."

"I knew I was pushing far beyond my boundaries"
"As I have no background in classical music, I was apprehensive..."
I don't know how a human being could accomplish this.
No course I've done comes close.

WHAT CAROL DISCOVERED
One learner's journey through science, art, music and reflection

Science
The faintest dot
in the night sky
became
a dynamic world.

Art
Music and art
transformed
my perception
of sulphur.

Music
The music
had me
in tears.

Reflection
Io became a
reflection
of my life.

Carol's journey began with Module I, exploring Jupiter's volcanic moon Io.
While each future LUNAR module explores a different moon and a different scientific story, the same interdisciplinary approach continues throughout the programme, bringing together science, orchestral music, poetry, artwork, and reflection to create an unforgettable learning experience.
Io is only the beginning.

What Educators Are Saying
It is neither intimidating nor overwhelming. It is what many might consider an unlikely combination of real interplanetary science, stunning artwork,
poetry and orchestral music.
But this combination truly comes together in a wonderful blend that brings Io to the forefront and into your home or classroom.
