Why
LUNAR Live is designed as a flexible, portable concert experience that can form part of an orchestra’s educational and community outreach programme in the days leading up to a performance of THE MOONS SYMPHONY™.
Through an accessible chamber ensemble of approximately 20 musicians, LUNAR Live brings the science, stories and musical inspiration behind the symphony directly into
colleges, schools and community spaces.
Audiences begin exploring the worlds behind the music before entering the concert hall — creating a deeper connection with the symphony and transforming the
main concert into the culmination of a journey already begun.

LUNAR Live has been conceived around a flexible, portable chamber ensemble of approximately 20 musicians, allowing the programme to be performed by professional musicians or to
incorporate talented high school and college performers.
Its compact instrumentation makes LUNAR Live ideally suited to educational and community outreach, creating an opportunity for local young musicians to become part of
THE MOONS SYMPHONY™ journey in the lead-up to the main orchestral concert.

Pre-Concert Outreach
LUNAR Live Ensemble
In the days leading up to THE MOONS SYMPHONY™ concert, LUNAR Live can travel
beyond the concert hall and into local schools, colleges and community spaces.
Through live music, scientific storytelling, composer insights and immersive space imagery,
audiences discover the extraordinary stories behind the moons and how those
discoveries inspired the music.
These encounters create a pathway to the main ticketed performance, allowing audiences to arrive at the concert already connected to the worlds,
stories and musical ideas they are about to experience.
