“I’ve just spent a euphoric four minutes listening to your latest masterpiece, 7th movement of THE MOONS SYMPHONY. Absolutely beautiful and very emotional.”
- Allan Wilson UK Conductor -
As a member of the IAAA, (International Association of Astronomical Art ) whose philosophy is founded on
“the creation of artistic work inspired by the exploration of the Universe and founded on scientific facts”
THE MOONS SYMPHONY is the sonic merging of ART and SCIENCE and Falkenberg has made a conscious decision to deliberately cast the collaborative net to incorporate some of the greatest scientific minds from lead space missions from NASA, Harvard, John Hopkins APL, and Michigan to stand alongside the creative forces of music and art.
Once Falkenberg’s research was gathered to help build the story of each of these significant moons, she conveyed the science into an auditory experience through musical devices, orchestration, and lyrics sung by choir to create a dynamic, interactive and programmatic work anchored in scientific accuracy as we know today.
